New England Patriots rumors: Antonio Brown isn’t coming back
By Sam Minton
Antonio Brown seems to want to make a return to the New England Patriots but that will not be happening.
The New England Patriots could use some help at wide receiver. Now that Rex Burkhead redid his contract the Patriots do have some money to spend.
One of the positions that New England had problems with the most last season is wide receiver. Tom Brady didn’t have a lot of guys to throw to. It was Julian Edelman and that was really it.

for a brief second, Brady had one of the best receivers in the NFL to throw to. The Patriots signed Antonio Brown and it seemed to be a match made in heaven. We saw the two connect for a touchdown but Brown’s time in New England was short.
He was cut and he seemed to be rather angry about it. With his comments after he was cut, Brown seemed to burn all the bridges that could get him back to New England.
Still, it seems like there is some interest from Brown. He posted a picture on his Instagram of himself in a Patriots jersey.
Now the Patriots could use his talent. AB is still quite the wide receiver.
But I have some bad news. There is no way Brown returns to the Patriots.
First off his comments about Robert Kraft basically ensured that he won’t be coming back. It’s hard to imagine Kraft signing him after what he said.
Also Brown would just be too much of a distraction in the locker room. The Patriots seem to be headed in the right direction with Cam Newton. If they were to bring in Brown it could mess up the chemistry of the locker room.
I expect the Patriots wideouts to do much better in 2020. Guys like Mohamed Sanu and N’Keal Harry should have great seasons as Newton loves to throw the deep ball. Also, he will be open to trusting young receivers, unlike Brady.
So the Patriots don’t need Brown no matter how much he wants to return to New England.
