Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown believes that the C’s making it to the finals is a foregone conclusion. This is going to be a fun season for Celtics fans.

With LeBron James out of the Eastern Conference, the Boston Celtics are now the top dog in the Eastern Conference. Celtics fans are expecting a lot of success this season. The C’s don’t have any excuses anymore. Jaylen Brown has talked a lot this offseason and continues to be confident in his team.

Brown was a guest on CJ McCollum’s “Pull Up Podcast” and wasn’t shy when talking about the team’s goal for the upcoming season.

"“Oh, we’re getting to the Finals. No question about it,” Brown said.“I hate how everybody is like, ‘Oh, LeBron’s gone in the East,'” Brown said. “I know he did have a strong hold on the East for the last seven years, but he barely got us out of there this year. And our mindset was like, ‘Man, he’s not beating us again.'”"

This is exactly what Celtics fans want to hear. Brown’s confidence is through the roof and for good reason.

More from Chowder and Champions

The Celtics almost defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers without their two best players. With Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward back and ready to take over the NBA, opposing teams will be shuttering at the thought of entering TD Garden.

The Celtics may have a new “big 3.” Boston has 3 premier scorers in Hayward, Irving, and Jayson Tatum.  When Kobe Bryant takes the time to work out with you, you must be a special player (Tatum sure is).

Why the Celtics need to make the finals

If the Celtics don’t reach the NBA finals it would be the first time I was disappointed in the team in the Brad Stevens era. The Celtics have no teams to worry about. They far and away have the best roster in the Eastern Conference Terry Rozier, a guy who was dominating in the playoffs, will be coming off the bench for the Celtics, that’s crazy. The depth on this roster is stunning.

With all of these great players, Brad Stevens will have to manage everyone’s ego. Some are saying that this could lead to the Celtics downfall, but I think Stevens will do just fine. The man is a basketball genius.

Next. Brad Stevens has extreme confidence in 2018-19 team. dark

The confidence is spreading throughout Boston. Could this Celtics dethrone the Golden State Warriors? Like a wise man once said “anything is possible.”
