With the Boston Bruins first line dominating the stat sheet some are saying that the B’s should spread the wealth and break up the line. That doesn’t sound like a great idea.

I don’t know how people can’t realize the greatness of the Boston Bruins first line. Patrice Bergeron, David Pastrnak, and Brad Marchand seemed to have been made to play with one another. So why would you split them up?

Now we can all realize how top heavy the Bruins are right now. The first line has combined for 18 points in just 3 games. That’s insane.

If you move David Pastrnak down to the 2nd line to try and boost David Krejci’s and Jake DeBrusk’s game you could mess with his mojo. Now I don’t think Pasta will throw a fit if he is moved down to the 2nd line, but on paper it’s still a demotion.

Then you would have a young player dealing with the pressure of going up against opposing teams top talent. I love Ryan Donato, but I think he is better served on the 2nd line.

The Bruins top line will score plenty of points, but what if they hit a wall?

The other lines will start to score. Jake DeBrusk is skating great so far this season and seems due to score at any moment. Also, the Bruins 4th line continues to be electric on the ice. As long as Bruce Cassidy keeps Sean Kuraly on the 4th line I think they will be producing.

Kuraly is a serviceable scorer and Chris Wagner has already notched his first goal of the season. As the season goes on everyone will get in a rhythm, and the scoring will come. Water always finds its level.

Next. Brad Marchand may have changed over offseason. dark

So do the right thing Bruce Cassidy. Please keep the first line together and don’t ruin the chemistry that they have.
