After a rough start to the season for the Boston Celtics point guard, Kyrie Irving has finally returned to form.

There truly is power in the mantra of “look good, feel good.” Everyone feels better after getting a fresh cut. Apparently, Boston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving subscribes to the theory above.

Irving didn’t have the best of starts to the season. Through 6 games he was averaging 14 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 5.5 assists a game. Those are some decent numbers, but not for a guy like Kyrie.

Irving’s rough start was highlighted in his first meeting with the Detroit Pistons. Even though the point guard had 7 rebounds and 5 assists, he only mustered 3 points. The Celtics may have plenty of scoring options, but the Celtics want him to be the main guy.

Now you may be wondering why I kept mentioning haircuts? Afro Kyrie is no longer with us as Kyrie returned to his typical short hair.

On Tuesday Irving was balling. Once again the Celtics faced off against the Pistons and Irving was the best player on the floor. He scored 31 points and had 5 rebounds and 5 assists.

The most impressive thing was Irving’s efficiency. He was 10-16 from the field and 4-7 from behind the 3 point line. Killer Kyrie was back in TD Garden.

Irving was dribbling through the Detroit defense and was chucking up 3’s from all over the court. This is what the Celtics need from Irving.

If Irving can continue to play like this the Celtics will be just fine. With Irving and Jayson Tatum firing all cylinders, the Celtics would be unstoppable. You can’t double team them because then you will leave Gordon Hayward and Jaylen Brown open.

It seems that the Celtics are starting to find their rhythm, and the rest of the NBA is shaking in their boots.
