New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski should return to action in Week 12. Gronk needs to return with a bang.

The New England Patriots will get a major player back in Week 12. All signs are pointing to Rob Gronkowski playing in the Patriots next matchup against the New York Jets.

This should help New England out a lot. Before the bye week, the Patriots offense struggled to get anything done. It was one of the worst performances the offense has put up in a while.

With Gronk coming back, Tom Brady will have another weapon to throw to. Hopefully, this will open things up for other receivers and jumpstart the offense.

Gronkowski hasn’t had the best season. It seems like the injuries he has amounted over his career are really starting to take a toll.

This season Gronkowski only has 29 catches for 448 yards and a touchdown. He hasn’t made it into the end zone since Week 1.

So the major priority for Gronk in Week 12 should be getting into the end zone. I expect him to be targeted plenty of times in the red zone.

Also, I think New England needs to rethink how they use Gronkowski. Instead of trying to go down the field I think the Patriots should look at Gronk immediately off the line. He has struggled to gain separation and make those big catches we are used to. Gronkowski should be running more slants and fewer go routes.

If Gronkowski fails to take advantage of a poor New York Jets defense, I think the tight end may struggle for the rest of the season. The Jets are not a good team. Gronkowski and the Patriots offense should dominate.

Bill Belichick isn’t afraid to get rid of anyone and if Rob Gronkowski continues to struggle, I think the New England Patriots may try and get rid of Gronk.
