Boston Bruins: Anders Bjork has a new challenge
By Sam Minton
The Boston Bruins have been ravaged by injuries early on in the season. This means that players will have to step up. One of those guys is Anders Bjork.
I’m surprised the Boston Bruins haven’t held open tryouts yet. They have had so many injuries. The latest is Patrice Bergeron who will be out for at least a month.
So this now means that Bruce Cassidy will have to shuffle up the lines and players will have to assume more responsibility.
Anders Bjork has looked great on the 3rd line, but now the winger is in the top 6. It is a whole different ball game.

Bjork hasn’t exactly racked up the points, but he is skating well. So far this season he has a goal and 2 assists with a rating of +2.
Now Bjork is skating with David Krejci and David Pastrnak. This should be great for the young player. Krejci should be able to set up Bjork with some good scoring opportunities.
I’m expecting Bjork to produce while Bergeron is out. Playing alongside these talented individuals can only help Bjork’s play. He will be more confident as he can rely on the veterans to have his back.
Bjork started his career off on a tear. In 30 games last season he had 4 goals and 8 assists. Then he got injured and Bruins fans could only ask what if? What if Bjork hadn’t been injured? What kind of numbers would he have put up?
We have seen a bunch of young talent really grow in Boston over the last two years. Jake DeBrusk is playing great and Jakob Forsbacka Karlsson has looked awesome since coming up to Boston. He even secured his first career goal in the Bruins last game.
Hopefully, Anders Bjork will be able to live up to the challenge and help the Boston Bruins out while everyone gets healthy.
