The Boston Bruins should be active at the trade deadline as they look to make a run for the Stanley Cup.

Looking at the Boston Bruins right now (and throughout the season), you could see that the team could use some additional pieces, and it looks like the team is ready to make some moves.

Boston has a few issues with the team. The main one is the lack of scoring. Boston’s 1st line is doing all the heavy lifting for the team. You can’t be succesful in the playoffs relying on one line to save the day each and every game.

With things staying the same and some players struggling, it looks like the front office is ready to whatever can be done to make this team a bonified contender.

I think there are two players who would make a lot of sense in Boston. The dream scenario is bringing in Artemi Panarin. The winger is a goal scoring machine. So far this season Panarin has 21 goals and 42 assists.

Panarin would be perfect on the Bruins. Boston’s first line would improve and the team would be able to keep David Krejci and David Pastrnak on the 2nd line together.

Then there is Wayne Simmonds. The Philadelphia Flyers haven’t had the greatest season even though they have been rather succesful as of late. The team has mentioned before that basically everyone is up for grabs. I think this is still the case. There is no way Philly is winning a cup this season.

Simmonds fits the Bruins mold. He is a hard-hitting forward that still can score when needed. Simmonds has 16 goals this season.

Now if the Bruins were to acquire these guys they will have to give up draft picks and some young studs. Boston may have to say goodbye to Ryan Donato, Jake DeBrusk, or Danton Heinen.

Next. Patrice Bergreron’s 1000th game was a masterpiece. dark

So get ready for NHL Trade deadline day Boston Bruins fans. It should be a fun one.
