Patrice Bergeron is one of the most consistent players in the NHL and he once again was a key part of the Boston Bruins success.

There is no doubt that the most reliable player on the Boston Bruins roster is Patrice Bergeron. At times you wonder what the team will do without him.

Bergeron is a pro’s pro. He plays the game the right way. There is no part of Bergeron’s game that is lacking.

The 2018-19 season was another great one for Bergeron. The only way it would have been better is if the Boston Bruins won the Stanley Cup.

Somehow Bergeron continues to improve with age. The 2018-19 season was the best season of his entire career. In 65 games Bergeron had 32 goals and 47 assists. He continues to be one of Boston’s top scorers.

The only thing that concerns you about Bergeron’s game is his fondness for getting injured. Now it seems like you can pencil in Bergeron to miss double-digit games each season. Hopefully Bergeron will find a way to stay healthy next season.

Bergeron was once again up for the Selke Award. At this point the NHL must be waiting for him to retire so they can rename the award. Sadly Bergeron was unable to bring home his 5th Selke this year.

Patrice Bergeron’s 2018-19 grade:

C. Boston Bruins. PATRICE BERGERON. A.

It’s hard to complain about Bergeron. He is one of the greatest two-way forwards in the game today.

This is the time in a player’s career when you start to see a player decline. Bergeron is doing the opposite. It looks like we will see Bergeron lighting the lamp for a while.

Patrice Bergeron is the linchpin that holds the Boston Bruins together. Until he retires the team will always have a chance to win a Stanley Cup.
