The Boston Celtics still need some help in the frontcourt and another team’s struggles could be Boston’s gain.

There is no doubt that Al Horford’s departure leaves a massive hole in the Boston Celtics frontcourt. He was a reliable veteran that was the perfect team player.

The Celtics signed Enes Kanter to boost their frontcourt, but the team shouldn’t stop there Especially with the current situation with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Thunder are undergoing a massive rebuild. They got rid of their two best players and now look like they won’t be winning for a while. This is the perfect time for Danny Ainge to strike a deal.

Now Kanter would be a decent starter, but he may be better suited in a bench role. That’s why the Celtics should go after Steven Adams.

Adams is a ferocious player who has grown into being one of the top centers in the NBA today. Last season Adams continued to improve. he averaged 13.9 points and 9.5 rebounds a game. The Celtics could definitely use someone who can gobble up rebounds like Adams does.

The cost for Adams wouldn’t be that high. Especially considering the state of the Thunder. I think with some tempting draft picks Boston could acquire the center.

Then Boston’s starting five would be pretty intriguing. You would most likely see Kemba Walker, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Gordon Hayward, and Adams to begin games. Then your 2nd unit would be led by Marcus Smart and Enes Kanter.

The Celtics would have a deep bench and that is always something you want on a team. If you have a deep bench your season can go a lot longer than expected.

Next. Time for Robert Williams to step up. dark

So I hope that Danny Ainge is able to make a move and take advantage of the Thunder rebuild. It would be a treat to watch Adams dominate the paint in a Celtics uniform.
