New England Patriots: Stephon Gilmore is extremely confident
By Sam Minton
Stephon Gilmore is great at a lot of things but the New England Patriots cornerback also thinks he would be a great wide receiver.
There is no doubt that New England Patriots cornerback Stephon Gilmore is the best in the NFL. He makes plays that some cornerbacks can only dream of making.
Gilmore leads the league in interceptions so he must have some good hands right but he is just a corner right?

Well Gilmore thinks that it isn’t that hard to play receiver. Maybe the Pats have found the wide receiver they have been desperately looking for.
"“I could do it. I think I could do it. I’ve never done it, but I think it don’t look that hard to me,” Gilmore said Wednesday on 98.5 The Sports Hub. “Whatever it takes to help the team, I’d do it.”"
Now I think Stephon Gilmore is a great player, but I don’t think he could play wide receiver. If he could we would see guys like Jalen Ramsey and Marcus Peters out wide.
Also this just shows how badly the Patriots need a receiver. Their best cornerback is having to say that he would be willing to play both ways. Could it get any worse?
The Patriots aren’t strangers to players playing out of position. Who could forget the season that we saw Troy Brown play some cornerback?
This is the type of confidence that makes Gilmore such a dominant player. You need it if you are going to shut down the league’s best players.
Stephon Gilmore believes that he is the best cornerback in the NFL and because of that confidence he has played amazing. Gilmore’s play is one of the major reasons that the Patriots have such a great record.
The defense has been carrying New England this season. They have single-handedly won games for the team.
So I don’t think Stephon Gilmore can play wide receiver but at this point, give him a chance. The New England Patriots need all the help that they can get in the passing game.
