New England Patriots: Trevor Lawrence headed to New England
By Jack Cote
We have found Tom Brady’s replacement, and it’s not Jared Stidham, it’s Trevor Lawrence. The New England Patriots will be back to winning ways in no time
For 20 consecutive years, the New England Patriots have been the team to beat. How insane would that be if, after only one year of rebuilding, the Pats were back on top?
But how? Trevor Lawrence. The next… best thing. You can’t compare him to one specific quarterback because he does everything. He can run, he can throw, his decision making is impeccable, and he knows how to win.

The Heisman hopeful will be the number one pick without a question, and there is no way any team is trading away the quarterback of the future.
Why has the drafting of Trevor Lawrence gone from a long-shot dream for the most hated team in football, to a reality? Tom Brady.
After providing nine Super Bowl appearances and six rings, number 12 left a present under the Christmas tree, a chance to tank the year before the arrival of Lawrence. Brady’s departure, while painful, may just be perfect.
It gives the young Jarrett Stidham a chance to have his hopes and dreams of being a starter in this league crushed. Talk about Trevor Lawrence being a reality, just wait for this coming season New England fans, and welcome to the reality of every other NFL franchise, it’s possible to not win the division.
Don’t get me wrong, this past season practically any quarterback could have filled the shoes of Tom Brady and snuck into the playoffs all thanks to the deadly defense. But unfortunate offseason moves on the defensive end of the field have put Bill Belichick and the Patriots in a tough situation.
The dominant 2019 defense was unbelievable, but along with the offseason trades, towards the end of the season, a powerful Patriots defense struggled against increased competition. This season, the defense will be asked to do way too much. The stealthy cornerbacks and dynamic lineman will run out of gas, just like the previous season.
With all of the pressure riding on the young quarterback out of Auburn University, Jarrett Stidham will deflate under pressure. Pun intended…
Anyways, the New England Patriots have been the team to beat the past 20 years, and just because Brady is gone doesn’t mean the hatred will evaporate. These past, what seems like 400 years, teams were attempting to take down the fierce Patriots, but each team came up short because of the talent in New England led by Tom Brady.
So, unless Jarrett Stidham is some god, the New England Patriots won’t win the division, so why bother to win any games. Go after Lawrence.
As a New England Patriots fan, we have had a whole lot of joyous moments in the last 20 years. One year of complete suffrage won’t be the end of the world.
Plus, that one year of suffrage is going to lead to another 20-year dynasty if the genius in Bill Belichick can coral in the Ronny Bass look-alike.
Like Ronny Bass’s epic quarterback athleticism and beaming bullets in the bounce-back season in “Remember the Titans,” Lawrence could come to New England, re-energize Patriots nation, and create another chapter in this Holywood like franchise.
