Jack Studnicka spoke to Boston Bruins season ticket holders on Tuesday and it seems that the forward will be ready whenever he gets the call to the NHL.

It is crazy how talented the Boston Bruins minor league system is. The team has a bevy of talent that will ensure the future of the team is bright.

Mainly a lot of these exciting prospects are defensemen, but the Bruins have some talented forwards. Arguably their best prospect is Jack Studnicka.

More from Chowder and Champions

Studnicka has been great down in Providence. In his first season in the AHL, he racked up 23 goals and 26 assists. He led the team in goals, assists, and points. Studnicka also was recently named to the AHL All-Rookie team this season.

As you can see Studnicka is such a talented player. He appears ready to make the jump to the NHL if not this season, the next one. It’s just a matter of time before he will be in Boston.

The issue is that Studnicka is a natural center. That is something the Bruins have plenty of. Even if Boston moves on from a guy like David Krejci, you still have Charlie Coyle, Sean Kuraly, and other prospects as well.

Also, Studnicka isn’t exactly a 4th liner. As his number show, he is a goal scorer. Studnicka knows how to make plays and help teammates get the puck in the net.

Whenever the NHL season does startup we do know that Studnicka will be apart of the Black Aces that will be skating with the team in case an injury occurs. So there is a chance that we see Studnicka this year.

If not I wouldn’t be surprised to see Studnicka stay in Boston next season. His head coach in Providence Jay Leach basically assured this would happen.

Leach has given Studnicka some time playing on the wing. Now, this adds some versatility to Studnicka’s game. Now instead of forcing him into a role as a center. Boston can be methodical and find the perfect line for Studnicka to join.

An interesting possibility would be having Studnicka on a line with Jake DeBrusk and Krejci. Of course, it might add some pressure to the rookie, but he also could flourish. Studnicka seems like the type of player who would rise to the challenge.
