Boston Celtics: Team will win at least 60 games
By Sam Minton
The Boston Celtics are projected to win 57.5 games according to the Las Vegas Superbook. All Celtics fans should be taking the over since the East will be a piece of cake for Boston.
I am definitely not a betting expert, but you would be an idiot to take the under on the Boston Celtics win total for the 2018-2019 season. The C’s have a roster full of talent and are poised to dominate the entire NBA.
The Las Vegas Superbook set the over-under for the Celtics at 57.5 games. That is pretty impressive. The C’s have the 2nd highest total in the NBA. With the Golden State Warriors slated to compete for the best record in NBA history, 2nd place isn’t all that bad.
When you look at the Celtics regular season record last season, 58 wins doesn’t seem that hard. The C’s won 55 games last season. When you factor in Gordon Hayward missing the whole season, and Kyrie Irving and Al Horford being injured a lot, that’s a pretty sweet record. With Irving and Hayward back at 100% for the upcoming season, the Celtics are ready to dominate.
The Eastern Conference is at it’s weakest

With Lebron James out of the Eastern Conference, the Eastern Conference is the Celtics to lose.
Last season the C’s proved they could beat the Philadelphia 76ers without their top two players. The Toronto Raptors lost their best Celtic-killer in DeMar DeRozan, and I’m not that afraid of Kawhi Leonard since he sat out all of last season. The Washington Wizards have the locker room cancer, Dwight Howard on the squad. The Wizards will surely fall apart. Then the Milwaukee Bucks have a first-year coach and also were defeated by the Celtics in the playoffs last season.
The 2018-2019 Boston Celtics will be fun to watch. We will finally get what we have been waiting for. Hayward and Irving will have a full season to become the best duo in the NBA.
The Celtics also have one of the deepest rosters in the league. Just think you will have Terry Rozier, Marcus Smart, Aron Baynes, Marcus Morris, and Daniel Theis coming off the bench. Some teams wouldn’t mind having that as a starting lineup.
Also, I have yet to mention rookie sensation Jayson Tatum and 3rd-year guard Jaylen Brown. I expect Tatum to prove that he is here to stay and put up some big numbers next season. Even though he will have to share the ball more, he should have a lot more open shots.
So if you want to try and win a few extra bucks take the Celtics over. It is basically a certainty.
