It was the closest game of the season but the New England Patriots were still able to defeat the Buffalo Bills in Week 4.

Well, the Buffalo Bills have given the New England Patriots the toughest challenge so far in 2019. Bills mafia should be proud of the effort they had.

But the New England Patriots don’t win Super Bowls by losing to teams like the Bills. In Week 4 they defeated Buffalo 16-10.

More from Chowder and Champions

As the score shows, Sunday was definitely a defensive showdown. Tom Brady and company did not have a fun time. The offense as a whole struggled and was easily the worst unit on the field.

This game just proved how great New England’s defense is. They won the game for the Patriots on Sunday. They have been amazing so far this season.

The stats show how bad the game was for the offense. Tom Brady didn’t even reach 200 yards, and the leading receiver was James White who had 8 catches for 57 yards. The only touchdown on offense was scored by Brandon Bolden of all people.

But to look at things on the bright side, Tom Brady doesn’t have to play phenomenal each and every week. If he struggles like he did today the defense can help him out.

So even though players like Brady, White, Julian Edelman, and Josh Gordon didn’t have good games some players definitely stood out. Here are the 3 stars for the New England Patriots in Week 4.
