Some fans are proclaiming that the end is near for the New England Patriots, but Tom Brady leaving the team will not be cataclysmic to the organization.

How can the New England Patriots survive without Tom Brady? Some fans seem to have a dark view of life as a fan in New England going forward

One would think that Gillette Stadium had collapsed as soon as Brady signed a deal with Tampa Bay or that Bill Belichick immediately retired when Brady left. It’s like Brady was the beating heart of the entire organization to some.

Some fans have even forced themselves to think that the Patriots will tank. This would allow them to get Trevor Lawrence who would hopefully be the savior at QB.

That won’t be happening. There is no way a team coached by Bill Belichick will have the worst record in all the NFL.

The fact is that the Patriots will be fine without Tom Brady. It’s not like he stole all the talent from the team like he was in Space Jam.

New England’s defense is still very talented. They have Stephon Gilmore patrolling the secondary along with Devin McCourty and it seems like the Patriots could have a dangerous pass rush.

The offense still has some weapons as well. James White and Julian Edelman will be relied upon to make an impact. They will quickly become Jarrett Stidham’s favorite targets.

But I also think that some players will improve in 2020. N’Keal Harry should see a lot more targets as he now has a QB who trusts him. Also, I hope to see Sony Michel improve on the ground as he will have David Andrews opening up holes after missing all of last season.

As you could expect the New England Patriots have faith in themselves. Devin McCourty spoke about his reaction to Tom Brady leaving New England.

"When he made a decision, to me it wasn’t like the end of the world.”"

This should be everyone’s reaction. Of course, we are sad that Tom Brady left. He deserved to spend his entire career in New England. Brady is the greatest player to ever put on a Patriots jersey.

But the NFL is a business and Brady thought it was best to go somewhere else. You can’t be mad at him and you can’t be mad at the Patriots.

The New England Patriots will be just fine without Tom Brady. It wouldn’t even shock me if they make it into the playoffs.

Tom Brady leaving the organization will not cause them to be the laughing stock of the NFL. It might just take them a few years to return to the Super Bowl.
